This painting is part of a new series of prints featuring Staffordshire Pottery dogs. It was created using gouache, a dip pen and ink, and Little Green household emulsion paint! Staffordshire flatbacks (or ‘Wally Dugs’ if you’re from the North East!) are a favourite of mine. I have a couple, but I would love a huge collection of them. I drew these after visiting the V&A Museum where they have hundreds of them beautifully arranged in glass cabinets.
